In a 35 over game, The Borderers batted first on a tricky, damp, wicket and at 71 for 3 after 10 overs thought we were doing okay. After lunch we then only amassed another 42 runs before being all out in 22 overs. Not nearly enough to defend. Borderer debutant Alex Tait knocked off 42 before having to retire and then came back in at the end of our innings but had no one at the other end long enough to give him a chance to increase his score.
The Borderers had Aysgarth at 27 for 3 and then, despite bringing on our very best spin bowlers to try and finish them off, ended up losing by 7 wickets in just 18 overs. Mark Stroyan and J Gawthorpe finishing us off.
James Thompson took 2 of the three wickets.
